House Accounts

For those larger accounts (e.g. building a house or cottage), or for the convenience of shopping at our company on a long term basis, we can open a "house account". A credit application will need to be filled out and then approved by our credit manager. House accounts will receive a 10% discount* off the retail price (except net items) . Statements with your invoices will be e-mailed (or mailed) out on the first day of each month. We expect payment in full by the 15th of the month following purchase. Full records are kept on your past purchases so that we can look up information to help you with future purchasing decisions. Authorized names for purchasing can be applied to the account. Your cottage or home address will be recorded for shipping purposes. If we have quoted you on a large project, those quoted prices will be automatically applied to your account. Your phone, e-mail , fax and business contact information wil also be kept on record.

House Account Payment Methods

House account customers generally pay by cheque, debit or PC banking. We have accounts set up with all of the major banks to accept payments "on-line". When setting this up with your bank, use the 4 digit account number that you have been assingned.We also distribute gift cards which are redeemable with no expiry date.

 Cash Accounts


Rather than having a "house" account, our customers will open a "cash" account whereby the goods are paid for at the time of sale but a record is kept by customer name for future and previous purchasing decisions. This is a handy way to track your purchases and most customers like this. It also allows us to keep delivery information, phone numbers etc. to improve our customer service to you.

 Sometimes, our customers want to call in orders and have the order charged to their credit card. Other customers like to have family members charge to their card. In these cases, a credit card authorization form needs to be filled out. Simply download the .pdf file , fill it out and fax it back (or scan it and e-mail it back)


We offer a 10% discount for payment by cash, cheque or debit card.

This does not apply to specialty items as follows:

Items in the Rent-all department. (Haliburton site only).

Quoted "net" prices on projects such as house lots of lumber etc. House lots receive a larger discount.

Docks, power tools, bath fixtures, ladders, windows, TJI, ICF and any specially ordered items.

Any other item marked "net"

Please note that our loyal "house account" customers also receive a 10% discount (with the same restrictions as above). House account customers further benefit by being able to pay for their purchases on the 15th of the month following purchase instead of right away.

Discounts using credit cards can be negotiated depending on the size of the order.

Plan Design Policy

Over the years, thousands of customers have received the benefit of our design department. We have a setup whereby we can design a set of plans that are correct, detailed, ready for the contractor to build by. As we are fundamentally in the building supply business, we are aware of new products and changing building codes. We charge a nominal fee (much less than architects) for this service but if you agree to purchase the majority of the materials for the project from us, the fee is fully refunded. Check with our design specialists for the details on this program. Fees are generally calculated on a square footage basis.


In this type of business, we commonly return product from our customers . We do however have some requirements:

Product must be in good condition

You must provide proof of purchase

Special order items (e.g. windows, special order sidings and roofing, countertops etc.) are not returnable.

 Bids (Quotes)

On larger projects, we will preapare a bid for you, which "locks" in your price. However, building materials are commodity items and the prices fluctuate regularly. Therefore, we allow you 30 days to accept your price. If the project drags on, we reserve the right to re-price the job.

Please be also aware that are quotes are an estimate only. The cost of your project depends on many things, our quotes are not a final package price. Please take time to review your bid carefully.
