Dow Styrofoam SM

Multi-purpose STYROFOAM™ Brand SM Insulation Extruded Polystyrene is especially suited for foundations, slabs, crawl spaces, interior basements, geotechnical and other in-ground insulation applications. The Type 4 extruded polystyrene foam insulation helps protect foundation damp-proofing and waterproofing, especially during backfilling and provides a secondary barrier against groundwater leakage.

STYROFOAM™ Brand SM Insulation also provides energy-efficient performance in many other types of commercial and residential applications, including attics and ceilings. We stock 1", 1.5" and 2" thick in 2'x8' sheets. It has an R value of 5 per inch. The compressive strength is 30PSI.

Private Label

Castle's private label brand of fiberglass insulation is made of top quality material. The colour has been changed to white and it is much less dusty and itchy. We stock R12,21,32.

Private Label

PlastiSpan and DuroFoam are closed-cell EPS insulations. Both PlastiSpan and DuroFoam are moulded expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulations from Plasti-Fab. Their rigid closed-cell structure ensures long-lasting thermal insulation properties. DuroFoam comes in 4' x 8' sheets. Both are suitable and recommended as the insulation components in floor, wall and roof systems above and below grade. They are both easy to cut and install. DuroFoam offers the added advantage of a thin film laminated to the top and bottom surfaces that increases its durability in handling and installation. Its reflective face reduces radiant heat loss. Energy savings and conserving our natural resources from Plasti-Fab – another way to spell green. With energy costs skyrocketing, it just makes sense to improve the energy efficiency of your home or commercial building.

Energy Shield

Energy Shield® Exterior Wall Insulation Energy Shield® is the most cost effective, energy efficient sheathing material available in the marketplace. R-values range from 3.0 to 21.7, depending on thickness. We carry the 3/4", 1", 1.5" and 2" thicknesses. It has a slightly higher R value per inch than Styrofoam SM. Energy Shield® offers several “green” qualities, including zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and zero Global Warming Potential (GWP) due to Atlas Blowing Agent Technology. When properly installed, Energy Shield® wall insulation will provide added insulation and yield immediate energy savings in both Commercial and Residential applications. Energy Shield® is manufactured with trilaminate facers (foil-kraft-foil) on the top side and a trilaminate or solid foil facer on the unprinted back side.
