Dow Styrofoam SM

Multi-purpose STYROFOAM™ Brand SM Insulation Extruded Polystyrene is especially suited for foundations, slabs, crawl spaces, interior basements, geotechnical and other in-ground insulation applications. The Type 4 extruded polystyrene foam insulation helps protect foundation damp-proofing and waterproofing, especially during backfilling and provides a secondary barrier against groundwater leakage.

STYROFOAM™ Brand SM Insulation also provides energy-efficient performance in many other types of commercial and residential applications, including attics and ceilings.We stock 1", 1.5" and 2" thick in 2'x8' sheets. It has an R value of 5 per inch. The compressive strength is 30PSI.

Energy Shield

Energy Shield® Exterior Wall Insulation Energy Shield® is the most cost effective, energy efficient sheathing material available in the marketplace. R-values range from 3.0 to 21.7, depending on thickness. We carry the 3/4", 1", 1.5" and 2" thicknesses. It has a slightly higher R value per inch than Styrofoam SM. Energy Shield® offers several “green” qualities, including zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and zero Global Warming Potential (GWP) due to Atlas Blowing Agent Technology. When properly installed, Energy Shield® wall insulation will provide added insulation and yield immediate energy savings in both Commercial and Residential applications. Energy Shield® is manufactured with trilaminate facers (foil-kraft-foil) on the top side and a trilaminate or solid foil facer on the unprinted back side.
